
Beth Hart is a Los Angeles native and blues-singing, rock vocalist. She was a street performer and made her debut with Immortal in 1995. Her raw, outspoken performance, emotional and empathetic live performances attracted the attention of many. Chuck Taylor wrote that Hart was "the the epitome of natural females" in the October 2 issue of Billboard magazine. She's "bawdy, funny, charming and free-spirited in her preference for a smoky words. This isn't her true talent. She's a tall, graceful singer/songwriter who sings and dances with the vim and energy that is Mick Jagger . Other times she's seated at the piano or center stage without any formality. The legs of her are crossed over the side of a chair, and she sings in a delicate, pained voice. Hart was subject to similar reactions from when she first took to the stage for amateur competitions as a teenager. But, Hart had doubts about the industry of music as it became an international success. Hart lost her band after touring the globe proved to be detrimental. Hart was forced to be away from the limelight for almost four years. Hart spent this time looking into her soul, writing music as well as addressing personal issues. When she was ready to give her career a chance to shine Hart returned to the scene in 1999, releasing the highly acclaimed Screamin' for My Supper, an album that saw Hart's songwriting skills mature with honest, vulnerable songs about confronting life's struggles.
