Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. She has released more than 20 albums. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock, but it also has hints of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is frequently regarded as an icon of women's rights and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the founder of DIY music. It was one of the first musicians to establish the label she created in 1990. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
