Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.), was considered as one of sport's best athletes. Biles, along with her sister Adria and Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents of Houston. Simone was introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her teacher at daycare Aimee Borman, when she was six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite level of gymnastics in the year 2011. She dominated her sport within a mere two years. Biles was distinguished by her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficulty she encountered at all four events: vaulting, uneven bars and the balance beam.
