Dua Lipa is a English performer and songwriter from England who was born August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. After a stint as an actor and model, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in 2017. It peaked in at the third spot in the U.K. albums chart and included eight singles, which included one of them being the U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be The One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Award in the year 2018, as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in a number of countries. Dua Lipa was is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. Her parents are of Bosnian descendance via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can be traced all the way back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Her grandfathers were historians as well. They have a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa's father, the guitar player and singer in the Kosovan the band Oda, influenced her musically. She grew up listening to music with her dad at home and sang songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing as young as five years old. When she was nine, Lipa began to sing at The Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and If I Ain't Have You of Alicia Keys on YouTube. In 2014 Lipa has signed a deal in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. In August of 2015 her first single New Love came out.
